In our submission on the Courts Service Strategic Plan 2024-2027, CLM highlights five key areas that we believe the Courts Service must prioritise over lifetime of the plan. We advocate for an accessible court system that supports older adults, individuals with disabilities, those without digital access, and non-English speakers.

Key priorities include embedding equality and human rights duties, appointing specialised court liaison officers, ensuring the judiciary is climate literate, creating child-friendly procedures and a dedicated Family Law Court. Consistent data collection and regular stakeholder engagement are essential to meet the diverse needs of all court users.
