CLM Training – Public Bodies’ Statutory Duties on Discrimination, Equality, and the Human Rights of Staff and Service Users.

This May, we’re offering a half day of training for all public sector staff and public servants. Community Law & Mediation will be delivering bespoke organisational training on Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty.

The course will provide an overview, and will cover the following topics:

  • Who the equality and human rights duty applies to.
  • Equality and Human Rights Sources:

(i) Equality Legislation.
(ii) Constitutional Rights.
(iii) European Convention on Human Rights.
(iv) Other International Treaties and Conventions.

  • Implementing the duty in a public body.

  • Accountability of public bodies in implementing the duty.

  • Pilot Case Studies.
